Commissioned Society Membership Agreement

Last Updated: July 17, 2026

Agreement Overview

This Membership Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between The Commissioned Society ("TCS," "we," or "us") and the business partner ("Member," "you," or "your") applying for membership. By submitting your membership application and initial payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms outlined below.

1. Membership Overview

The Commissioned Society is a local business growth network that connects trusted home service and real estate professionals through digital visibility, community participation, professional relationships, and educational support. Membership includes access to an AI-powered business website, Facebook community visibility opportunities, a business directory presence, monthly networking experiences, and AI/marketing training sessions.

2. Membership Fees & Billing

Members are responsible for the following fees:

  • One-Time Activation Fee: $59 (due at signup)
  • Monthly Membership Dues: $199 per month (first month due at signup, total initial payment $258)

Monthly dues are billed via Zelle or other approved payment methods. Payments are due on the same date each month as the original activation. Late payments may result in suspension of membership benefits, including website visibility, community participation, and directory listing.

3. Member Responsibilities

Members agree to:

  • Maintain professional conduct in all Commissioned Society communities and events
  • Provide accurate and truthful business information for website and directory purposes
  • Respond to leads and customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Represent their business category with integrity and honesty
  • Respect the category-exclusivity model and avoid soliciting members' clients
  • Participate authentically in Facebook groups using a real personal profile
  • Attend networking and training events when reasonably possible
  • Notify TCS of any changes to business ownership, contact information, or service areas

4. Website & Digital Assets

TCS will build and host an AI-powered business website for each Member. The Member grants TCS permission to use submitted business information, photos, videos, and content for the purpose of creating and maintaining the website. The Member retains ownership of all submitted content. TCS retains ownership of the website design, structure, and platform. Upon cancellation, the website will be deactivated and Member content will be removed within 30 days unless alternative arrangements are made.

5. Community Participation

Members may receive opportunities for visibility within Commissioned Society Facebook communities, including business directory listings, partner recommendations, Group Expert recognition, and moderator opportunities. These opportunities are subject to TCS approval, platform availability, community needs, and ongoing compliance with Community Partner Guidelines. TCS does not guarantee specific results, recommendations, or lead volume from community participation.

6. Category Exclusivity

TCS limits the number of members per business category per territory to maintain value for existing members. Membership does not guarantee category exclusivity if the territory limit has been reached. If a Member's category becomes full, the Member will be placed on a waitlist for the next available opening.

7. Cancellation & Termination

Either party may cancel this Agreement at any time. To cancel, the Member must notify TCS in writing. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Refunds for partial months are not provided. TCS reserves the right to terminate membership immediately for violations of this Agreement, unprofessional conduct, fraudulent activity, or actions that damage the reputation of TCS or its members.

8. No Guarantee of Results

TCS provides tools, visibility, and opportunities designed to support business growth. However, TCS does not guarantee leads, sales, revenue, referrals, or any specific business outcome. Results depend on Member participation, market conditions, service quality, and other factors outside TCS's control.

9. Limitation of Liability

TCS's total liability under this Agreement shall not exceed the total membership fees paid by the Member in the three (3) months preceding any claim. TCS is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of revenue, loss of leads, or damage to business reputation.

10. Privacy & Data Use

TCS collects and uses Member business information for the purpose of providing membership services. TCS will not sell Member data to third parties. Member contact information may be shared with potential customers through the business website and directory listing as part of the normal course of business.

11. Agreement Updates

TCS may update this Agreement from time to time. Members will be notified of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued membership after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Contact

For questions about this Agreement, please contact The Commissioned Society through the member support channels provided in your dashboard or via the Request Information page.
